San Diego Stake Youth experience Pioneer Trek

After a year of planning and preparing about 125 San Diego Stake youth spent Aug. 4 - Aug. 1oth traveling to Wyoming, Idaho and Utah. Caitlin, Brittan and Teagan were put into "families" and companies to walk in the footsteps and experience in a small way the journey of the Willie and Martin Handcart Companies. It was an unforgettable and testimony building experience. After the trek, the traveled to Idaho to swim in the Lava Hot Springs. Then to the Manti Temple to do Baptisms for the Dead. Next was Temple square tour and a surprise lunch in a near by park, provided by a wonderful Stake there in Salt Lake. Kamden and Tyler met up with the sisters there for a visit. Our San Diego group traveled farther than any other group to experience the Wyoming Pioneer Trek. All that attended, had pioneer clothing hand made by selfless, dedicated sisters of San Diego Stake. The Missionaries called to the Martin/Willie Handcart Wyoming Mission commented that our group will go down in the mission record as the most remarkable group that has ever participated in the Trek experience!
